Our committee
Sandgate Kids Early Education Inc. is run by a volunteer, parent management committee. The management committee includes parent representatives from each of the services and plays a valuable role in overseeing the management of the three centres.
How is the committee formed?
The committee is made up of parents who volunteer their time to help keep the centre running smoothly. Parents are welcome to become committee members by nominating themselves at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) generally held in March each year.
Members of our team are invited to attend these meeting to collaboratively help shape a healthy and positive future for the children and for the centres.
What does the committee do?
The committee works to raise funds which are used for the purchase of new play equipment and resources, maintenance and improvements to the centre, and for the overall benefit of the children.
The committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month. They make sure the centres are complying with the legal and financial obligations of all childcare facilities. They choose how to raise funds and make recommendations about how they are allocated. The committee’s responsibility is to ensure the financial viability of the centre so it can continue to deliver a quality service to families for years to come.
